Sponsors

In the build up to 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, AFC Unity’s search for sponsors was simplified: it was decided that instead of seeking a single sponsor who would have to meet the target we had set, we would instead open up the opportunity to be chosen as a key sponsor via a raffle: local businesses began buying tickets at £25 each in order to contribute to AFC Unity, in addition to being in with a chance of being drawn as a major sponsor in the draw on July 4th, 2018!

Listed below are the parties who entered the sponsorship raffle draw and as a result automatically became a sponsor of AFC Unity between 2018 and 2020. We would like to thank them for their support and ask you to go and support them in return!

In a personal capacity – he successfully lobbied Humberside Police for a high-profile apology and change of practice after controversial treatment of local football fans. He also ran an innovative and grassroots campaign to ‘Save Our Steel’ back in 2016, using the town football club’s shared social capital to help save Scunthorpe’s steel industry. As such, he is a keen believer in the power of football to transform communities and achieve social justice. He is currently based in London, and is a Campaigns Officer for a disability charity.
